Joel Yaeger, CPA, MST
Founder and CEO
Joel Yaeger grew up in Waunakee, Wisconsin, where an early interest in numbers and business set the foundation for his career. He began in accounting and finance and spent three and a half years working as a CPA before stepping into his first CFO role at age 27. Joining a young, fast growing company only five years into its life, Joel became accustomed early to navigating uncertainty, scaling systems, and making disciplined decisions in dynamic environments. Under his financial leadership, the company achieved sustained annual growth exceeding 40 percent and ultimately exited for a nine figure valuation. His work earned recognition as a CFO of the Year finalist.
In November 2024, Joel founded Compound Wealth, initially offering tax, accounting, and payroll services under the name Yaeger Advisory and Tax. The firm has grown to what we know it as today, expanding into wealth management in August 2025, transaction readiness in October 2025, with alternative strategies planned for early 2026.

Outside the office
Joel is married to his wife, Kelly, and they have three children with a fourth on the way. He enjoys pickleball, tennis, time with friends, and cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers.
