Blair Thompson

Director of Accounting & CAS

I lead the Accounting and Client Accounting Services practice at CMPD Advisors, where my work sits at the intersection of technical accounting, strategic advisory, and practice growth. My focus is on delivering more than compliance — I help business owners and leadership teams understand their numbers, make confident decisions, and build financially sound organizations. That means going beyond the close and showing up as a true advisor to the clients we serve. On the practice side, I oversee team development, service delivery, and the technology infrastructure that makes high-quality outsourced accounting scalable. I'm a strong believer in cloud-based workflows and automation — not as a novelty, but as a way to free up time for the advisory work that actually moves the needle for clients. A few things I care about professionally:

Outside of work, Blair is an avid basketball enthusiast. Hailing from Connecticut, he is a Season Ticket holder for the UConn (HUSKIES!)
